Behind the Design
Hi, I’m Carla — a Senior Product UI/UX designer originally from Panama, now based in the UK. With over a decade of experience, I’ve worked across startups, creative studios, and in-house teams to turn complex ideas into clear, usable, and beautiful digital products. My path into design began by exploring how things work under the hood. I started out in front-end before moving fully into product and interface design—a journey that gave me a solid foundation for creating practical, buildable solutions. And despite working in digital, I still begin every project the old-school way: pen and paper first, always. I bring a visual-first mindset and a soft spot for structure. My background spans SaaS platforms, e-commerce, B2B tools, and responsive websites—always with a focus on user-first thinking and accessible design. I’m not here to chase trends. I’m here to make digital more human—balancing clean UI, solid UX, and design that thinks before it shouts. Today, I collaborate with founders, developers, and creative teams to build interfaces that feel good to use and easy to scale. Outside of work, you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen, learning new languages, or chasing after my daughter.
