Adviisa - Compliance & Data Management Platform
Adviisa is a B2B SaaS platform designed to help teams manage compliance, documentation, and company data in one secure environment. The product serves finance teams, directors, advisors, and external stakeholders, each requiring access to shared information through different levels of permission and responsibility. I worked as the main product designer on a freelance engagement, owning the design end to end, from early discovery and brand definition through to dashboard design and preparation for development.

The Challenge
The platform needed to support multiple user types with different goals and permission levels while handling sensitive compliance data. Clarity, trust, and control were essential.
At the same time, the product was early-stage, with no existing brand or design system and a desktop-only dashboard. Engineering required a scalable UI structure before development could grow confidently. The challenge was to design something structured and trustworthy without overwhelming users.
My Role
I led the product design from early exploration through to delivery. This included running discovery sessions, defining personas, mapping approval and document workflows, designing the full dashboard experience, and creating the Adviisa brand and visual identity. I also established reusable UI components in preparation for React development and collaborated closely with engineers and stakeholders throughout.

The Solution
I began by working with the founders to clarify how different roles should interact with the system. From there, I translated those discussions into structured user flows and dashboard layouts.
Structuring multi-role workflows
The dashboard was structured to support document management, compliance deadlines, audit tracking, team permissions, and financial reporting within a clear and consistent hierarchy. The aim was to separate responsibilities and workflows while maintaining a unified visual language.
Brand & system foundations
Alongside the product, I created the Adviisa brand from scratch, defining its visual identity, tone of voice, and marketing pages. I also built a mini design system in Figma to support development in React, ensuring components translated cleanly into a shared library while remaining flexible for future growth.

Project Impact & Reflection
Adviisa was a hands-on, end-to-end engagement that combined product thinking, system design, and brand creation.
Designing for multiple roles within a compliance context required careful hierarchy and information structure. Establishing the design system early proved valuable, reducing rework and creating a stronger foundation for development.
The project reinforced the importance of clarity and structure when dealing with sensitive, data-heavy products, particularly in early-stage SaaS environments.
